Here are some common computer maintenance tips to keep your computers in good shape.

#1. Do not use internet explorer. It is the least updated, most insecure browser of the major browsers. Many viruses only work on it because of security loopholes.

#2. Keep your computer’s ventilation system free of dust. Computers keep themselves by moving air past “radiators” that keep its components cool. If you allow dust to build up it cannot cool down and it will cause those components to over heat, wearing out quicker.
